Our "Messenger" newsletter gets sent out every month to keep everyone informed on what is going on in the life of our church. Click here for current and previous editions:
On February 6, 1949, an organizational meeting was held at Immanuel Baptist Church of Florence, SC to discuss the birth of what is now known as Calvary Baptist Church. The following Sunday they had their first service. During that first month, the charter membership grew from 69 to 126 people.
On Easter Sunday, April 10 of that same year, our little congregation gathered on the Arlington Circle property off Cherokee Road and dedicated the land to the glory of God as the future site of Calvary. The rest… is history!
If you are a guest, have a question, or are interested in a ministry or Small Group, let us know. We can’t wait to hear from you!
